Notes
Instrumentation listed in Victor ledgers includes a librarian and a personnel manager; ledgers also indicate that one of the bassoonists doubles on contra-bassoon. The number of violas is illegible in Victor ledgers and not confirmed.
Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra previously recorded the four-part set, “Capriccio italien” on 6/28/1939 under matrix numbers CS-037800 through CS-037803. It’s possible that issues of DM-776 (13622-13625) were released from both sets of masters.
Take 2 is not confirmed as the issued take.
