Honey Swamp Stompers
Date Range of DAHR Recordings: 1929
Roles Represented in DAHR: Musical group
Notes: Brooks/Rust notes Honey Swamp Stompers as a pseudonym for Arthur Fields' Footwarmers, presumably based on Columbia company files. Sutton identifies Honey Swamp Stompers as a pseudonym for the Fred Hall Orchestra on Harmony labels. ADP editors speculate that both sources are correct. Arthur Fields' Footwarmers was the intended credit for the ensemble at the time of recording, but the label musicians were led by Fred Hall. Hall who was responsible for hundreds of popular recordings. Both ensembles were studio bands.
