Notes
Source(s): Dixon/Godrich/Rye (personnel); Victor blue history card; trade catalog; Victor ledgers.
Dixon/Godrich/Rye names Maudie Ruth Gamble and Nannie Wright as “probable” singers at the recording session. In addition, Dixon/Godrich/Rye names other performers who possibly recorded at the Victor session; the names were found in a newspaper, the Baltimore Afro-American (issues of 5/14/1932 and 12/2/1933), which identified them as members of the Bennett College Quartet. One or more of the following individuals may have been a vocalist or a piano player at the session: Jessie Lee Dickson, Carrie Robinson, Elfreda Sandifer, Grace Coulbourne, and Gladys Thomas.
