This master derives from an instantaneous disc believed to have been recorded in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Victor ledgers available to the ADP list only this re-recording of the master. It was made in Victor's Studio 1 in New York, New York on 12/26/1939.
The master is identified in Victor ledgers as "Porto Rican Record-No. 11."
Ledgers list the performing group as "Frank Madera y sus Gay Collegians." An online source identifies the group as Orquesta Frank Madera and adds vocalist Jose Luis MonerĂ³. It is not known whether the latter source refers to this matrix.
