Laird: "These are the first Chicago recordings to use the new master numbering system (where each selection is allocated a single master number, instead of each take having a different number as previously). It is interesting to note that the Chicago studio adopted this practice before it was adopted in New York - as the first New York recordings using the new system were not made until April 2, 1928." |
