Laird: "The recording sheet makes no mention of these titles being made 'for Aeolian.' Instead, there is a notation on the sheet for 199-205W reading 'See Brunswick book - masters 14632-3-4,' which is the first indication in the files of a Brunswick session being allocated master numbers in both the Brunswick and Vocalion matrix series. Brunswick masters 14844-5-6 were not allocated until February 6, 1925 and the Brunswick sheet states 'Changed from Vocalion book masters 199W, 200W & 201W." |
Masters renumbered for Brunswick use as 14844-14846. Brunswick numbers assigned on February 6, 1925. |
Session indicated as recorded in the AM. |
Documentation of Vocalion Records derives primarily from Ross Laird's "Brunswick Records: A discography of recordings, 1916-1931" (Greenwood Press, 2001). See the ADP Brunswick Records Resources page for more information. |
