Notes
Source(s): trade catalog.
The 1923 OKeh/Odeon catalog lists the performer as "Trio Alvarez Escobedo Encinas" and the performance as "Instrumental." Spottswood notes that the performers "probably" comprise Jose Alvarez Alva as vocalist and Jose A. Encinas and "Escobedo" (no first name) on guitar. It is possible that "Escobedo" refers to Mariano Escobedo, who was known for playing the quena.
