Brooks/Rust: "mxs 1260-1350 reserved for records made in Shanghai in early 1903. They were apparently not sold in the U.S., and are extraordinarily rare. Labels on the ... examples [observed] are in Chinese, with black lettering on a red background; approximately translations are shown here. "G 1260" appears to be the seventh disc in a nine disc-set, 1288E fifth in a set of nine. Mx 1308 is also a multi-disc set. After mx 1350 Asian location recording continued in the 2000-2999 block (q.v.). |
